20x50 Binoculars

50mm binoculars are general purpose and suitable for most applications. If you ve ever held a pair of binoculars in your life they ve likely been 10x50s. They offer ample light gathering for most uses, are small enough to fit in your glovebox, rucksack or paniers and are easy to hold.
But most manufacturers try to cut corners and make them as cheaply as possible. Our 50mm s are made with superior BAK-4 prisms (most others are inferior BAK-7s) but are still great value. BAK-4 s give a brigher, sharper image but cost more as they re denser. We see no reason to offer customers an inferior product just because they don t need 60mm or larger lenses!
This model has 20x magnifiaction, this is double that of most 50mm binoculars and brings distant objects incredibly close. For bird watching you might find the field of view a bit small, our 10x50 or 12x50 may suit you better.
They can be tripod mounted using our inexpensive L bracket (5.99+VAT) but are easily light enough to hand hold for long periods. A tripod makes all binoculars easier to use, sadly not all of our competitors offer this facility on 50mm binoculars.
